Kovu is a fictional character in the Disney animated film The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. He is the son of Zira, the leader of the Outsiders, and the adopted son of Scar. Kovu is initially raised to believe that Simba is responsible for Scar's death, and he is determined to avenge his father.
