A Golden Mushroom, formerly known as the Super Mushroom, is a recovery item, usually obtained by lower place racers, and was first introduced in the Nintendo 64 game - Mario Kart 64. It has the appearance of a usual yellow-colored mushroom wearing a golden crown, as you can notice in our fanart Super Mario Golden Mushroom Sticker. It can be used to go past other players, landing you in a higher ranking.
